I'll be spending the day hanging out with my son, and possibly doing a bit of running around town. So no show this week.

Well, no search parties as of yet, but we'll see what happens. I have hope Noah's dad will show up in one piece.

Me and Mr. Monkeypants are going to trek over to the Catch and try to get a video projector working in the disco, for tonight's Das Bunker escapades. Then a round of goofball badminton at the park.

Crispeh!

Me and Monkey hopped into the car and shuttled down to the Catch at inferno-o'clock to spend an hour or two in a sauna work on getting a video projector working for tonight. Got some good stories about some stupid decisions someone made that are now manifesting repercussion there. At least it'll be simple to clean up the mess someone else is making.

We managed to get to the NOT A CORNFIELD Park (where Cirque Berzerk is) by 6pm. We horribly mangled the once-proud sport of badminton (SHUTTLECOCK!), and didn't care. It was fun. At one point, a fearless little boy around 6 years old or so came up with his friend, a girl of about 10 or so. They jumped right in and we all had fun flailing about aimlessly as the birdies fell safely to the ground, oblivious to our efforts to assault them. 'Drew demonstrated his usual friendliness, and it was cool to just goof off with people we'd never met before. I also think it's cool that more and more ghetto latina moms are getting out and literally walking their asses off. I grew up in that environment, and the mortality rate for high-carb, high-fat, high blood pressure sedentary lifestyles was epic. There's something VERY cool about argueably disenfranchised mothers getting out and doing cardio in groups. Rock on!

The moms looked very concerned that the kids were talking to strangers, despite the fact that it was me and my very obviously genetically-related son playing with cheap badminton gear and a frisbee. I'm glad they were concerned, at any rate.

Now to take a shower, work on Java, and pay for the sin of physical activity.
