Yes, I know, it's on a Monday. But it's a ridiculously good cause.

We all have friends and family that have been affected by breast cancer. In the handful of cases I've known about, every instance was met with a lot of resistance from insurance companies. Bills for day-to-day stuff stacked up, while insurance tried to weasel out of their financial obligations. Jobs put on hold, families crushed under the ever-mounting economic disaster that cancer generates.

I'm all about benefits. You put the word out that you're raising money for a good cause. Your friends get together and pitch in. Total strangers step up to help out and donate, restoring some semblance of faith in humanity. It's pretty cool. Couple that with bowling and nun outfits, and you have a recipe for glorious, joyful disaster. :-)

The Bowling For Boobies event runs from 6-9pm on October 13th. It's being held at the Lucky Strike Lanes at Hollywood & Highland. If you only go to one event on that Monday, make it Bowling For Boobies. They can use every single dollar you throw their way, and every single body of support for their cause. And if you come by Ground Control afterwards, with some sort of artifact from the event, you'll get in free. So, take the $4 you would normally pay for GC, go give it to the BfB people, have a good time at the lanes, and come over to Ground Control after. We'll keep the light on for you. ;-)
