Wonky!

Our intermittent connectivity problems here at BrokenHaus made for bad netradio.

The Frog-Sark hand-off went well. But I hadn't noticed that I mistakenly plugged my Soundblaster Extigy USB into my USB hub, instead of directly into my laptop. The hub works great for most things like data transfer, but you can hear the "load balancing" when I plug an audio output device into it. As thefreak said, "it's okay, this episode was recorded entirely underwater." Thank you, sir, for your patience while my rig butchered the last 5 minutes of your hard work.

The actual failure was in looking connectivity from our ailing router. I need to break down and spend the $40-50 on a good wireless router.

I put away my laptop, and am currently hamfisting away on an HP Compaq 7600SFF. It's got a hyperthreaded CPU, so it effectively acts as a dual processor. Woo! I'll be using the next couple of hours to teach myself a little more music making. Today will be playing with Hydrogen, a Linux-based drum sequencer. There are supposedly some good drum sound samples to be had using Hydrogen.
